These wonderful tapestries-rugs are so sturdy that they may be used as rugs. Think of it as art you can walk on. (Try that with a Rembrandt!) I have had several on the floor for over 10 years and they show no signs of wear. Yet they are soft to the touch and are great to hang on the wall. A special Rug Rangler can be added to your order to make hanging easier. Each tapestry-rug is reversible. There is no front nor back. You decide which side you like best. Each is made of wool weft (the outside) and linen warp (the inside), click technical information. Please be aware that the rugs are displayed here on a graded background with red bars: this in not a part of the rug. If you have questions, e-mail Judy

Papago #2

PAPAGO #2

The Papago Indians of Arizona made pottery and baskets and decorated them with intricate geometric designs. A basket design was adapted to this rug. A dash of art deco transformed this design into one reminiscent of the Santa Fe Railroad of the 1930s. Red and black create a dramatic effect. This rug is not for the faint of heart.
